How it works
Stock and well-being “check-in”
Your dedicated personal advisor will call or email you on a pre-arranged date for your monthly support “check-in” and to complete a stock check with you and take your order for your stoma/urology products and medication.
We confirm your requirements
Your personal advisor will confirm your requirements and confirm a delivery date. We will then contact your GP directly to get your prescription. Where this is not possible you will need to request the prescription yourself. Once your prescription is received we will pick and pack your order ready for dispatch.
We deliver
Your products and medications will be delivered efficiently and discreetly direct to your door or your chosen destination. No fuss, just simply a great service.
"I was really anxious when I had to order my products for the first time. Julie really made me feel at ease. She was so patient and understood how nervous and self-conscious I felt discussing such personal matters. Since then she has been a breath of fresh air and has made an awkward time so much more bearable."
Electronic prescription service (EPS)
If you live in England and your GP surgery offers the NHS Electronic Prescription Service then you can nominate Bullens as your preferred supplier for stoma and urology prescriptions. Under the EPS scheme you can nominate one chemist and one Dispensing Appliance Contractor (DAC).
If you would like to have your medication delivered then you will also need to nominate Pharmore Plus (our Pharmacy).
EPS speeds up the time it takes for us to receive your prescription, meaning that we can send your delivery to you sooner. EPS means that your GP surgery will send your prescription electronically, direct to us. The EPS system is flexible and you can change or cancel your nomination at any time.
Please note that the EPS system is only available in England.
Pharmore Plus is an independent Pharmacy working in partnership with Bullen Healthcare. Pharmore Plus gives you the convenience of having your stoma/urology products and medication ordered and delivered at the same time, with the same personal and dedicated service that you are used to as a Bullens customer. There is a Superintendent Pharmacist available who will be able to give you advice or speak to directly over the phone.
"I have used quite a few home delivery services since my surgery and Bullen Healthcare are by far the most helpful when it comes to needing product advice along with the fact that they have access to a wide range of products from different manufacturers. They help make life better for new Ostomates and veterans alike."
Brexit: Advice to Patients
As a business we have been following the developing guidance from the UK Government. We are also part of the Government’s contingency planning arrangements which has specific task forces for both medicines and for appliances.
The advice for medical appliances from HM Government is for the manufacturers & distributors to increase their stockholdings within the UK in the lead up to Brexit so as to act as a cushion for any possible delays at UK ports when importing products. The Government has also requested that DACs and pharmacies do not increase their stockholdings prior to this as that could cause shortages within the supply chain.
We are following all of this advice and consequently, where we are the distributor of product from outside of the UK, we will be significantly increasing our stockholding of those products.
We have also been in contact with all of our major suppliers and received confirmation from them that they are increasing their UK stockholdings of their appliances to ensure continuity of supply when the transition period comes to an end.
