On Thursday 4th June we were delighted to attend the annual Rebuilding Lives after Spinal Cord Injury Awards. It was a fantastic evening, hosted by Countdowns own Susie Dent and attended by over 400 people.
This year SIA Healthcare sponsored the prestigious award category ‘SIA Action on spinal cord injury Award’ with three fantastic shortlisted individuals – Baroness Rosalie Wilkins, Fiona Barr and Patricia Tranter. The judging panel certainly had a difficult job this year as the strength of nominations were outstanding.
The evening was a great success and it was wonderful for Fiona Barr to receive her award for her outstanding contribution to the SCI community. It was also fantastic to see so many inspirational nominees from across the legal sector, healthcare and the wider community, from all age groups, being acknowledged for the key part they play in providing care and support for SCI people across the UK.
It is one of our favourite events and we are already looking forward to attending in 2016!
